Albert Ammons (see 53), Peter Johnson, born in Kansas City 1904, died in Buffalo 1967. Acted (with Meade Lux Lewis and Albert Ammons) in the 1941 movie Boogie Woogie Dream. His 1938 recording of Roll 'em Pete, with vocals by Big Joe Turner, one of the most important precursors of what later became known as rock and roll.
