Born in New Orleans 1927, died in 2009. Made an early debut in big bands, played behind Tommy Dorsey and Paul Gayten, among others. Headed Louis Prima´s backing band for 20 years, after Prima´s death in 1978 he continued to tour and record in the Louis Prima Wild style.
